Our first adventure together was to Huacachina. Surrounded by mountainous sand dunes, Huacacina is a sandy gringo playground. We slid, surfed, sand-boarded, and somersaulted our way down the massive and irresistible sand dunes. One of our biggest thrills so far was a 2-hour rollercoasteresque dune-buggy ride. It was something none of us have ever experienced before. Pure adrenaline and terror and excitement all at the same time. We rattled around in our 5-point seat belt harness and even the boys were 'screaming like girls'. It was like something out of that old 'Mad Max' movie with Mel Gibson. When our sunset ride was over we flopped on our hotel beds in sheer exhaustion but all smiling from ear-to-ear.
